Every part is different, so every quote is too — here's what goes into the decision.

Picking a color that's already on the shelf usually means a faster turnaround. This list updates as spools come and go — don't see a color you want? Ask on the order form and we'll source it.

PLA

Our go-to material — crisp detail, a huge range of colors, and a clean finish. Ideal for display pieces, figures, and props.

  • Best detail & widest color range
  • Rigid, not built for high heat
  • Great for gifts, decor, prototypes

PETG

Tougher and more flexible than PLA, with better resistance to heat and impact. Our pick for anything functional.

  • Stronger, more durable than PLA
  • Handles higher temperatures
  • Great for parts, brackets, outdoor use

ABS / ASA

The choice for heat resistance and long-term durability — the material of automotive trim and enclosures.

  • High heat & impact resistance
  • Can be sanded and post-processed
  • Great for enclosures, automotive parts

TPU (Flexible)

A rubber-like filament that bends and flexes instead of breaking. Great for anything that needs to give.

  • Bendable, rubber-like finish
  • Excellent abrasion resistance
  • Great for phone cases, gaskets, grips

Infill is the internal lattice that fills a print — more infill means a stronger, heavier, slower (and slightly pricier) part. Most orders land between 15–30%.

Not sure what you need? Tell us what the part is for and we'll recommend an infill when we quote your order.

Quoted per order, not per catalog

Because every model is a different size, shape, and material, MakerForge doesn't run a fixed price list. When you submit an order, we look at the print time, material used, and any post-processing it needs, then send back a straightforward quote before anything goes on the printer.

That means no surprise costs — you approve the price before your part is printed, and nothing ships until you're happy with the plan.
